Professional digital print lab color calibration requires three color (ICC) profiles.
The studio uses Adobe Photoshop 1998 ICC profile for color management. Monitors are calibrated with a SpyderX Pro colorimeter. A custom ICC profile for each paper/ink is used for output to print.
Monitor.
A custom monitor (ICC) profile is required if you want the color on your monitor and print to match. A colorimeter creates custom monitor profiles.
Software Workspace.
Adobe RGB (1998) profile is used for output to print with Epson SureColor P6000 printer.
It has a wider color gamut than the default sRGB of cameras. Professional printers support the Adobe RGB 1998 profile.
Printer Color Management.
Adobe Photoshop CC 2019 manages color, and printer color management is turned off with output to Epson SureColor P6000. Custom paper profiles are used for print color managment.
